Isle of the artist
Persona Gallery
Hello, my name is Joey Like and I'm an Indiana native who has made Bloomington my hometown for more than 15 years. My artistic style comes from researching such pioneers of design as Frank Lloyd Wright, Piet Mondrian, Paul Klee and Wassily Kandinsky. It is from their provocative concepts that I feel compelled to display my own colorful aesthetic. I use geometric subdivisions, linear interplay and conceptual forms to create Rational Abstractions. I believe these designs to be significant without being ambiguous. A look at the everyday and what's beneath the curtain. I feel that a blank canvas is not always an empty one, and as a visual artist I search for methods to draw out that ideal. So please enter my gallery, look over my works and tell me what inspires you. Contact me here or in person if in the Bloomington area. I thank you for visiting and, as always, ENJOY!=)
